- Store reviews and related data (Cloud Firestore);
- Send transactional emails such as account verification (Firebase / email providers);
- Prevent fraud, spam, and abuse (reCAPTCHA, rate limits, moderation);

4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
Important: When you use the Site, your data is processed by third-party providers. We do not control how these providers collect, retain, or share data, and their practices may involve transfers to servers in the United States and other countries. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be accessible to service providers and, in some circumstances, to other parties as described in their policies.
4.1 Google / Firebase (Google Cloud)
We use Google Firebase and related Google Cloud services, which may include:
- Firebase Authentication — account sign-up and login;
- Cloud Firestore — database storage for site reviews and related records;
- Firebase Hosting — delivery of the Site;
- Google reCAPTCHA — bot and spam protection.
Google may process data in the United States and globally. See Firebase Privacy and Google Privacy Policy. Firebase data processing terms are described at Firebase Data Processing Terms.
4.2 Google Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and may collect information such as how often users visit, what pages they view, and what other sites they used prior to visiting. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Analytics is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Service and Google’s policies. You can learn about Google’s practices at How Google uses data from sites that use our services and opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4.3 Meta (Facebook) Pixel and advertising
We may use the Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API, or related Meta advertising tools to measure ad performance and build audiences. Meta may collect or receive information from the Site (such as page views, device identifiers, and events) and may combine it with other data Meta holds about you. Meta’s processing is governed by Meta’s Privacy Policy. You can manage ad preferences in your Meta account settings.
4.4 Other service providers
We may share information with:
- Email delivery providers (transactional messages);
- Hosting, CDN, and security vendors;
- Professional advisors (lawyers, accountants) when necessary;
- Law enforcement or regulators when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information for money. See Section 6 (CCPA) for California “sale” and “sharing” disclosures.
5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK / GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process personal data based on:
- Contract: to provide the Site and account features you request;
- Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, analytics, and improving services (balanced against your rights);
- Consent: where required for non-essential cookies, marketing, or certain analytics/ads;
- Legal obligation: to comply with applicable law.
6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell/share;
- Delete personal information, subject to exceptions;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising;
- Limit use of sensitive personal information where applicable;
- Non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
6.1 Categories of personal information (last 12 months)
- Identifiers (name, email, account ID, IP address);
- Internet or network activity (browsing on the Site, analytics);
- User-generated content (reviews and ratings);
- Inferences (may be generated by analytics or ad partners from usage data).
6.2 Sale and sharing
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We may “share” identifiers and internet activity with analytics and advertising partners (such as Google Analytics and Meta) for cross-context behavioral advertising when those tools are enabled. You may opt out by using industry opt-out tools (e.g., NAI, DAA) and browser/device settings.
6.3 How to submit a request
Email contact@dentmechanicgroup.com with subject line “California Privacy Request.” We will verify your request as required by law. You may designate an authorized agent.
7. GDPR — International Transfers, Breaches, and Fines
Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses offered by service providers (including Google/Firebase).
Data breaches: If we become aware of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected individuals and regulators as required by applicable law (including GDPR Articles 33–34). Under GDPR, supervisory authorities may impose administrative fines for certain violations; those fines are assessed by regulators against the data controller or processor responsible, not against individual users. Our liability to you for incidents involving our services is also limited in our Terms and Conditions.
8. Data Retention
We retain account and review data while your account is active and as needed to operate the Site, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. We may retain logs and analytics data for a shorter or longer period per provider defaults. You may request deletion of your review by contacting us; we may retain backups for a limited time.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures, including Firebase security rules, authentication, email verification, reCAPTCHA, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data.
11. Your Choices
- Account: log in to manage or request deletion of your review;
- Email: follow unsubscribe or preference links in marketing emails (transactional emails may still be sent);
- Cookies: adjust browser settings; use opt-out tools for analytics/ads;
- EEA/UK rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and complaint to a supervisory authority.
12. Email and CAN-SPAM (U.S.)
If we send commercial email, we comply with the CAN-SPAM Act: accurate header information, non-deceptive subject lines, identification of the message as an ad where required, our physical address, and a clear way to opt out of future marketing emails. Transactional emails (e.g., verification) are not marketing messages. Opt out of marketing by following instructions in the email or contacting us.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
